This Nationally Recognised course is designed to provide individuals with the pre-requisite units of competency required to complete the following course with IWP Training:

Note: This Pre-Requisite training course is not required for students who hold a MEM30205 Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Turning) or equivalent.

 

This Course has a large focus on safety procedures and practical scenarios relevant to the National Occupational Health & Safety Certification Standards.

PREREQUISITES & ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS 

To enrol in this course participants must:

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • Provide a copy of their photo identification (driver's licence, proof of age card, or passport)
  • Demonstrate the ability to speak and write English to a basic level & have basic numeracy skills
  • Be able to speak English well enough to carry out work safely with other people

 

COURSE DURATION

2 Days

 

PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO BRING

  • Photo identification as listed in the prerequisites for this course
  • Bring your own lunch, free water, tea, coffee & biscuits are provided. You may leave the facility during your lunch break if you wish.
  • PPE including protective footwear will be required to be worn for the practical training session,

 

ASSESSMENT PROCESS

  • The course will be a combination of theory & practical training where participants will be required to demonstrate industry skills & knowledge described in the units of competency included in this course.
  • Students will be required to pass a written & Practical assessment to complete the course all critical components must be demonstrated and answered correctly

 

COURSE OUTCOME

Upon completion, participants deemed competent will be issued with a:

  • Wallet size competency card
  • Nationally recognised statement of attainment for:
