This course provides the skills and knowledge to prepare for the Maintain Hydraulic Systems course and a pathway for individuals with relevant trade qualifications to gain Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the prerequisite units of competency required to enrol in and complete the following course with IWP Training:

This Course has a large focus on safety procedures and practical scenarios relevant to the National Occupational Health & Safety Certification Standards.
Note: This Pre-Requisite training course is not required for students who hold:
- MEM30205 - Cert III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
- MEM31419 - Cert III in Engineering - fixed & mobile plant mechanic or equivalent.
Those holding the above qualifications qualify to enrol directly into the Maintain Hydraulics Systems Course

PREREQUISITES & ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS
To enrol in this course participants must:
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
- Have a (USI)-Unique Student Identifier, please visit https://www.usi.gov.au/ if you do not have one
- Provide a copy of their photo identification (driver's licence, proof of age card, or passport)
- Demonstrate the ability to speak and write English to a basic level & have basic numeracy skills
- Be able to speak English well enough to carry out work safely with other people
- Complete an RPL Application Form and submit to IWP Training for approval.
- Must provide evidence of holding one of the relevant trade qualifications listed below:

COURSE DURATION
2 Days
PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO BRING
- Photo identification as listed in the prerequisites for this course
- Bring your own lunch, free water, tea, coffee & biscuits are provided. You may leave the facility during your lunch break if you wish.
- PPE including protective footwear will be required to be worn for the practical training session,
ASSESSMENT PROCESS
- The course will be a combination of theory & practical training where participants will be required to demonstrate industry skills & knowledge described in the units of competency included in this course.
- Students will be required to pass a written & Practical assessment to complete the course all critical components must be demonstrated and answered correctly

Upon completion, participants deemed competent will be issued with a:
- Wallet size competency card
- Nationally recognised statement of attainment for:
