Description
This Nationally Recognised HRW Advanced Rigging course is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to: Perform Advanced Rigging work associated with the Rigging of Gin Poles, Shear Legs, Flying Foxes & Cable Ways, Guyed Derricks, Structures, & Suspended & Fabricated Hung Scaffolds. Crane is a crane mounted on a vehicle used for loading and unloading the vehicle.
COURSE TOPICS
- Requirements for HRW Licence.
- OH&S Legislation (Acts, Regulations and Duty of Care)
- Application of Australian Standards and National Standards.
- Fall Prevention (Harness/lanyard inspection and applications)
- Personal and general safety
- Rigging a span rope or flying fox
- Installing a swinging stage or bosuns chair
- Set up a gin pole to conduct a lift
- Erect and dismantle a hung or suspended scaffold
- Learning bends and hitches (knots)
PREREQUISITES & HRW LICENCE ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS
To enrol in this course participants must:
- It is a mandatory requirement to hold a qualification in Intermediate Rigging, to be eligible to enrol for this Advanced course
- You must be able to show evidence of your attainment of the Intermediate Rigging course - Once you have placed your order, please send evidence of the above qualification to admin@iwpt.com.au. - Your registration will not be approved until this has been received.
- You are required to have either a HRW Licence to operate a Boom Type EWP Boom Length 11m or More or have completed the Operate Elevated Work Platform Under 11M Course - Please contact us for a bundle price for EWP Course if required, when booking the Rigging Intermediate Course

Candidates will be required to bring one approved photo ID along to their assessment to have their identity verified by the Assessor

Demonstrate the ability to speak and write English to a basic level & have basic numeracy skills
- Be able to speak English well enough to carry out high-risk work safely with other people, please inform us upon registration if you feel you have any literacy or numeracy difficulties. Some reasonable adjustments to the course can be made to assist.
COURSE DURATION
- 5 Days
- 30 hours training 2 hours knowledge and 6 hours performance assessments
- 1 Day SafeWork HRWL Assessment
PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO BRING

Candidates will be required to bring one approved photo ID along to their assessment to have their identity verified by the Assessor
- Bring your own food, free water, tea, coffee & biscuits are provided, you will be able to leave the facility during your lunch break if you wish
- PPE including protective footwear will be required to be worn for the practical training sessions and the SafeWork NSW assessment, we have hard hats, high visibility vests, gloves & whistles available for use if required.
IMPORTANT:
There have been some important changes to how you will need to prepare for and obtain your SafeWork HRW Licence.
Please ensure candidates read through the course instructions carefully, these are sent via email once your registration is approved.
ASSESSMENT PROCESS
- The course is based on the requirements of the national standards for licencing persons performing high-risk work, the training will be a combination of knowledge, calculations & practical training where participants will be required to demonstrate industry skills & knowledge described in the units of competency included in this course.
- On completion of the training, an RTO assessment will be conducted, this assessment will identify if the participant is ready to undergo the SafeWork NSW assessment, or if further training is required.
- To pass the SafeWork NSW assessment, all critical components must be demonstrated and answered correctly
COURSE OUTCOME
On successful completion of the SafeWork NSW assessment, participants will be given a:
- Nationally recognised statement of attainment HRW RA - Licence to Perform Rigging Advanced Level - CPCCLRG4001, recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework and issued under the authority of the National Vocational Education and Regulator Act 2011
- A SafeWork NSW licence to perform high-risk work application form is to be lodged at Service NSW within 60 days of the completion of the assessment.

Any cancellations made by a student within 24 hours from the course start date will result in the full course fees being non refundable. (does not include course cancellations made by the RTO)
